Even more when I don't have to work. Ever since I was a young girl, Sunday has always been my favorite day of the week. Maybe it has something to do with everyone being home (of course, I pick a profession that never closes), families getting together or it's just an okay to be lazy day. On my Sundays off work we go to Church then always go somewhere after to eat lunch, getting up and making something to eat before going to church to eat when we get home, sounds impossible to me but, believe you me, my grandmother did it. I guess that's where my love for Sundays started, I stayed with my grandparents quite a bit as a child, getting up on Sundays to good smellin southern food, then getting on your "Sunday best" for church...awe the good ole days. Still to this day, with our church a little causal, I love getting dressed up. When hubby was outta town about a month ago, my mom came over to ride with me to church and was completely surprised I had jeans on, not something I would normally wear. In the morning before church my hubby always says to me as were walking out the door "you sure look nice", as corny as it sounds, I love it. Getting dressed up on Sundays is something that I have always enjoyed. Plus, it makes shopping "all in the name of the Lord", which makes it okay right?
The rest of the day is spent doing whatever we please. But at some point, I chip my coupons and organize my coupon holder, coupons have become quite a game for me, "how much can I save". If I don't have a coupon I don't need it. Specking of coupons...I had a coupon for Old Navy and hubby informed me that he over heard that they were closing too, I couldn't let it go to waste, so after church we headed over. I don't really think that they are going under but it was worth the trip I got these cute items...
I can dress it up with a cute necklace or belt.
It's a beach cover up!
Which I plan on doing a lot of if I don't get to the gym.
Then this afternoon I went with my very good friend "N" and her beautiful girls on a walk, "N" and I met a couple of years ago at work and she has been a blessing to me. I just love her and her family so much. I'm so thankful for her!
So that concludes my favorite day of the week.
"A Sunday well- spent brings a week of content"
That green shirt dress is so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteLeft you an award on my blog!
ReplyDeleteHi, I found your blog and wanted to say hello. I'm looking forward to reading more. Sundays are my favorite too! Where in Florida do you live? I'm from Atlanta, but live in Orlando. Have a great afternoon!
ReplyDeleteHow does the green dress fit? Big/small? Thinking about ordering it!!
ReplyDeleteSecond time today I have seen that green dress - is it as cute in person?!
ReplyDeleteThe dress is better in person, the color is great. The fit was true to size. I usually wear a small dress but medium shirt and I got a small dress and it was perfect. I can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can wear it.
