If you can't live without it...put a ring on it!

Last night I got a call from a girlfriend that I've been friends with since middle school, we had English class together and became really good friends and have remained friends ever since. She says I saved her from the nerds that she had been hanging out with and made her life way more interesting. Truth is ...she probably would have been better off with them. Our senior year she was voted "Craziest personality" and myself "Most fun" but truthfully we came by it honestly, we were good kids! Just always having fun and still do. No matter what I'm doing I like to have fun and she and I share that trait. But about 1 1/2 months ago she called me and told me that she was engaged! Of course, I was super excited, seeing how she has been with her boyfriend for 13 years, almost more than half her life.

So last night she called me and asked how I asked my bridesmaids to be in my wedding and I told her how I wasn't quite sure, I would have to think about it...

Bride: Is there a proper way of doing it?
Mrs. Tea: I think you can just ask.
Bride: Yeah, well I've been thinking of different ways.
Mrs. Tea: I will ask my blog friends and do a little research (she always makes fun of me for this)
Bride: well how about I just ask you " Will you be in my wedding?"
Bridesmaid: Scream (Loud) Yes, Yes, of course.
Bridesmaid: What color is the dress?

You would have thought that she was asking to marry me. I am so honored. It really means alot to me. So she is getting married Jan. 2010 (that sounds so far away) in the keys. And I'm wearing Yellow. Here is a picture from our ski trip in Feb., she is the third girl friend the left and we are all in the wedding, plus two other girls.

A happy bridesmaid makes a happy bride.

  2. YAY!!! How fun!

I wrote my girls a poem and the last line asked if they would be in my wedding...it totally it's as dorky as it sounds though - promise. ;)

Totally off topic, I'm going to be in the ER for 4 weeks. I start tomorrow night...and, it's a night shift - yikes!! I'm so scared that I'm going to fall asleep! 1/2 My summer internship was nights and I really struggled. Any advice would be AMAZING! And, really really appreciated! :)

  3. I had a tea party and gave them a teacup with a note that said, "My dearest friend, I have something to say, I'd love you to join me on my special day." Cheesy, but they loved it!
